Living Aligned: Faith, Leadership, and Life 2.0
“Success without alignment will always leave you restless. Alignment brings peace, purpose, and direction.”
Living Aligned: Faith, Leadership, and Life 2.0
From the Marines to Life 2.0
I didn’t set out to become a life coach.
I set out to serve, to lead well, and to build things that mattered.
I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at seventeen. Like many young men, I was searching for direction, discipline, and purpose, though I wouldn’t have used those words at the time. The Marines gave me structure, responsibility, and a deep respect for leadership under pressure. Those lessons stayed with me long after I took off the uniform.
Over the next three decades, I led teams and organizations across public education, construction, oil & gas, higher education, and the executive suite. I held senior and C-suite roles focused on safety, training, organizational development, and culture. I helped companies grow, stabilize, and perform in complex, high-risk environments.
By every external measure, it worked.
But somewhere along the way, success began to quietly outpace meaning.
I wasn’t failing – I was drifting.
Not away from responsibility, but away from alignment.
When Success Stops Satisfying
Like many high-capacity leaders, I learned how easy it is to let achievement replace reflection, and performance replace purpose. Faith didn’t disappear – but it became compartmentalized. Leadership continued, but at an increasing personal cost.
Eventually, that misalignment demanded my attention.
Not through collapse, but through clarity.
I had to confront a hard truth: the life I was living no longer fully matched the faith I professed – or the legacy I wanted to leave.
That season forced me to slow down, tell the truth about where I was, and ask better questions:
Who am I apart from my roles?
Why am I really here?
What has God entrusted to me, and how am I stewarding it?
Those questions became the beginning of what I now call Your Purpose & Principle Driven Life 2.0.
Life 2.0: Alignment Over Achievement
Life 2.0 isn’t about starting over.
It’s about realigning what already exists.
Through years of reflection, study, coaching, and clinical mental health training, a simple framework emerged – one that now anchors all of my work: Gain Clarity → Lead Aligned → Live Faithfully
Clarity requires honesty about reality.
Alignment requires surrender to God’s design.
Faithfulness requires daily, embodied practice.
Not perfection.
Practice.
Why Purpose & Principle-Driven Exists
Purpose & Principle-Driven was built to serve folks like me – who are outwardly successful but inwardly restless – people who don’t need hype or hustle, but clarity, structure, and truth.
P2-Driven integrates:
Military and executive leadership experience
Biblical wisdom and theology
Trauma-informed mental health and counseling graduate programs
Practical life design and sustainable rhythms
The goal isn’t optimization for its own sake.
The goal is alignment – so your Faith, leadership, relationships, health, and work are heading in the same direction.
Living Your Legacy Today
One of the most common traps I see is the belief that legacy is something we think about later.
It isn’t.
Legacy is being formed daily – in decisions, habits, conversations, and priorities. It shows up in how we treat people when no one is watching, and in what we choose to carry (or release) along the way.
That’s why everything I do points to one simple conviction: Live Love Today.
Not someday.
Not after retirement.
Not once things slow down.
Today.
If you’re successful but searching, faithful but fragmented, accomplished but asking deeper questions, you’re not behind.
You may simply be ready for Your Purpose & Principle Driven Life 2.0.
